Intertorg completed the acquisition of 100% of the business of Norma supermarket chain which includes both the operating company and the assets.

Acquisition of Norma meets Intertorg’s global goals and objectives — to expand its business geography to the regions near St. Petersburg and Leningradskaja Oblast and substantially increase the number of stores to maintain the planned growth of sales.

About Norma

Norma was founded by Oleg Zherebtsov in 2006 and on the time of the transaction consisted of 21 stores of a «convenience store» format, located in St. Petersburg and across Leningradskaja Oblast. The stores have a total area of 12,000 square meters and trade area of 7,700 sq.m. In 2011 the chain reported a net turnover of 2.2 Billion Rubles.

Intertorg manages multi format retail chains in North West and Central Federal Districts and has the following brands:

7ya Narodnaja Semja, supermarket Ideja and Spar which it is developing since 2011 under the franchise agreement. As of May 2012, the Group has some 265 stores.
